    General info:

Our rides are generally no-drop rides. New riders: we are very encouraging! We regroup at various points along the way. Of course, you are welcome to cut out early, or split off, if our pace is too slow for you. If we have enough participants, we may split into A and B groups.

7 AM: Brooklyn Roasting Company opens for breakfast.
7:45 AM: Redbeard Bikes opens for last minute air, water & pre-ride stretches.
    8 AM: Wheels down!

Please bring helmet, sunscreen, water, snacks, spare tube & flat fix kit. Rain cancels. RSVP appreciated but not required. Any questions, give us a shout.

    See you on the bike!

  • Update: Prospect Park Training Ride, 12/8

Tomorrow's Tuesday morning training ride in Prospect Park is cancelled on account of heavy rain and wind. The make-up ride is Thursday, 6:30 AM, Grand Army Plaza entrance of the Park.

  • Winter Hours Start 12/1

Hey folks! The Redbeard crew is back in action tomorrow, Monday, 12/1.

We are on winter hours: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 12-7pm, Sat 11-6pm, Sun 1-6pm.

We have a new ride starting this week - Tuesday mornings in Prospect Park, departing from Grand Army @ 6:30 AM. Be sure to RSVP on Facebook or via email - redbeard@redbeardbikes.com.

Our Tuesday morning training ride in Prospect Park is perfect for those without a club or team affiliation! Ilya will offer tips on fit and form to participants. We've made it super early so y'all have time to get to work -- but we'll happily adjust the time, schedules permitting. First ride of the series is this week!
  • Redbeard Bikes Ladies' Night Flight

Ladies - you know who you are. To you -- the bicycle is freedom! You don't ride -- you fly. (See poster below.)

Sure, your bike takes you from Point A to Point B. But sometimes you want Point Z.

    Z for Zen.

Point Z is -- ready? -- Prospect Park at night. It's New York City's best kept secret -- along with a few cafes I cannot name here, lest Time Out New York writes about them.

And on Thursday nights - you too can go there. Because Thursday night is the Redbeard Bikes Ladies' Night Flight.

We meet on Grand Army Plaza at the entrance to the Park. We usually do 3 laps, though you are welcome to peel off early or stay longer.

All ladies, all bikes, all styles, all riding levels are welcome! We'll talk about bikes. And life. We'll listen to the crickets, and look out for raccoons. We will ride through the winter -- although heavy rain, snow, or ice cancels. (We'll play it by ear; check Facebook for latest status update.)

    Requirements:

    • A front and rear light for your bike (available at Redbeard Bikes).
    • A desire to ride in company.
    • No apologies about your speed!

    P.S. Please tag photos #redbeardbikes and #ladieswhofly!
