Spinning At Dawn

Yesterday morning we headed out to The Fitness Guru for @pink7grl's 7:30 a.m. spin class. This was my first time spinning and I can say that I'll be back for more. This session was framed in the corny, girly, techno positivity that I love in an exercise class. There were plenty of remixes of beat heavy top forty tunes --something I appreciate when I'm trying to dig deep and keep up with the rest of the class.

That said, I would have had more fun if I had come to class prepared. I'd decided to ride my bike to Dumbo in order to sleep an extra ten minutes. Unfortunately, in my rush to crawl out of bed and out the door, I forgot to pack some tennis shoes. I might have done better to buy some Fizik M5B Donna's

We recommend SPD cleats --if you transition to clipping in on your bike you can get the Shimano A530 Single Side Clipless Pedals which are flat on one side and SPD on the other. You can then use your bike for commuting or clipping in for longer rides after changing shoes.
